The Roosevelt Institute’s Health Policy Center is active in the UNC community and beyond. Our center is charged with approaching issues that deal with health care and the health and well-being of not only the students of this institution but the nation as a whole.
You have probably heard about the new hard-waiver student health insurance requirement, for which you either waive by the Sept. 30 deadline or you will be charged $361.50. This is your forum, your chance to speak with University administrators and UNC’s insurance providers.
We will be hosting a forum discussing the new health insurance policy on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. in Bingham 103. This event will give you a chance to collect valuable information to decide whether to waive out of the Pearce & Pearce insurance option. Panel members include the executive director of Campus Health Services, senior associate vice president of the UNC-system’s Academic and Student Affairs, president and vice presidents of Pearce & Pearce insurance company and UNC’s student body president.
