Police log for September 28, 2010

—Three men were charged with common law robbery between 11:12 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Friday on West Franklin Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Trevor Cane Freeman, Savon Rollins and Brian Keith Murphy were arrested after police said they stole from a person around 11:15 p.m. Friday at 306 E. Franklin St., reports state. The men were taken to Orange County Jail. Freeman was held in lieu of a $3,000 secured bond, and Rollins and Murphy were held in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond, reports state. The stolen items, which were later recovered, were worth $806, reports state.

—Someone broke into a house by kicking down the rear door between 8:45 a.m. and 6:06 p.m. Saturday at 1732 Allard Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person stole a television worth $1,500, a PlayStation 3 worth $400, $350 in PlayStation video games, a laptop worth $1,000 and two portable DVD players worth $150 collectively.
Damage to the door frame was valued at $200, reports state.

—Someone broke into a house between 4 p.m. and 11:52 p.m. Saturday at 605 Bynum St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person stole a laptop worth $1,200, a camera worth $200, a camera case worth $200, a grocery bag worth $5, a plastic paint tray worth $1, two paint rollers worth $5 and three memory cards worth $55 collectively, reports state.

—Someone stole a necklace worth $10,000 and a ring worth $7,000 between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday from a hotel at 101 Europa Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—The Wachovia Bank at 165 E. Franklin St. was found with its front door unlocked around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—A car hit and destroyed a mailbox at midnight Sunday at 720 Kenmore Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
