This year celebrate the holidays by giving the gift of life to someone in need in our area. University and community residents are all invited to the 12th annual Holiday Carolina Blood Drive, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 in Woollen Gym off South Road. The drive goal is 400 units.
The holidays are a tough time for hospitals and patients. Many of us are extremely busy, and blood donations typically decrease. But the demand for blood at health facilities in our region does not.

Parking will be free on the fourth and fifth levels of the Cobb Deck, accessible from the driveway to the Center for Dramatic Art off Country Club Road.
Besides the warm feeling of a good deed done, you’ll get free food afterward, a free T-shirt from the American Red Cross and a chance to win airline tickets. I hope you will join us for this important event.
