Chapel Hill police officers responded to a reported shooting and break-in at 104 Jackie Robinson Street at about 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, according to a department press release.

At the scene, officers found the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg, and he was transported to UNC Emergency Room for non-life-threatening injuries, the press release states.

Officers reported that the victim came home and found three suspects inside his apartment. After the victim was shot, the three men ran from the residence upon his arrival.

The suspects are all described as tall black males wearing dark clothing. One suspect was described
as having dread locks and was reportedly wearing a burgundy coat, the release states.

Anyone with information concerning this crime should please call either the Chapel Hill Police
Department at 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 942-7515.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential
and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that
leads to arrest.
