TO THE EDITOR:
“Study hard, work hard, play hard.” With these words, Eve Carson described one take on the Carolina Way. Students, alumni and friends are invited to “play hard” and celebrate Eve’s memory at the second annual Eve Carson Scholarship golf tournament on Oct. 7 at UNC’s Finley Golf Course.
The format is a fun four-person scramble, with long drive, hole-in-one and putting contests. Prizes include vacation packages and gift cards.
Entrance fees are $100 per person and also include lunch and a reception following the tournament. All proceeds benefit the student-run Eve Carson Scholarship, which rewards two juniors who represent Eve’s vision of the Carolina Way.
