Name: Anna Karam
Year: Junior
Hometown: Liberty
Major: Psychology with a Women’s Studies Minor

What Anna is wearing: a Banana Republic skirt with oxford-style shoes and a shirt from Forever 21.

While walking to the Pit, Anna’s outfit caught my eye while she was chatting with a friend in front of the Undergraduate Library. Anna describes her personal style as vintage, comfortable and classy. She gets her style inspiration from friends and says she keeps her style current by borrowing her roommate’s clothes. Anna said she loves the trend of oxford shoes but dislikes the trend of graphic tees on campus. Anna prefers summer fashion over fall fashion because she likes that it’s more relaxed.

While Anna said she doesn’t regard herself as particularly style conscious, she does a great job of pulling off a polished yet casual outfit. The neutral color palette and relaxed fit of her clothes give her outfit a comfortable and casual look. The belt cinches her waist and creates a flattering sillhouette, while the oxford shoes keep the outfit trendy and current. Anna’s fashion outlook realistically represents many students on campus by showing that you don’t have to be a fashionista to express your personal style.

Anna’s style advice: “Wear what you’re comfortable in.”
