Mack Hollins too quick for luck

Through the first five games of the season, North Carolina receiver Mack Hollins embraced his role of potent playmaker despite seeing scarce targets.

Women's soccer drops third game behind slow start

After starting the season undefeated, the North Carolina women's soccer team started slowly in its next two games — both losses.

Taylor Fricano conjures career performance

After leaning on its Preseason All-ACC middle hitters for most of the season, the North Carolina volleyball team rallied behind opposite hitter Taylor Fricano in its 3-0 sweep of Miami on Sunday.

The redshirt sophomore followed up a career outing from Friday with a six-kill, five-block showing against the Hurricanes, leading her coaches and teammates to praise her performance and potential.

Early goal knocks men's soccer from undefeated ranks

Before Saturday's match against Wake Forest, the North Carolina men's soccer team hadn't dropped a game this season.

But after allowing a fast-break goal in the 17th minute, the Tar Heels were unable to overcome the early deficit — even with a free kick in the waning minutes.
