The North Carolina men’s basketball team is on pace to break the century mark for the second straight game as it leads Tennessee State 55-42 at halftime.
Both teams knocked down seven 3-point shots, but the Tar Heels did it in just 10 shots and it took the Tigers 17. The Tar Heels shot 64 percent from the floor with 19 of the 23 made shots coming off assists.. Kendall Marshall had ten of those assists.
Reggie Bullock is the highest scoring Tar Heel with 14 on four-of-four shooting from behind the arc.
John Henson was the only other Tar Heel in double digits in the half with 12 and five boards.
TSU’s Kenny Moore had a team high 14 points as well and Kellen Thornton added 13.
Nine Tar Heels saw action in the first twenty minutes and all nine of them registered at least two points.
