Bobby Frasor to join Haase at UAB

Former North Carolina men’s basketball assistant coach Jerod Haase has completed his coaching staff at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

And he’s taking another former Tar Heel with him.

After spending 13 years on Roy Williams staff at both Kansas and UNC, Haase accepted his first head coaching gig at UAB on March 27.

Today, UAB announced that Bobby Frasor, a member of UNC’s 2009 national championship team, will be the director of operations. George Drake, who played college ball for three years at Vanderbilt before finishing his career at UAB, will be a part of the staff as the associate director of operations.

After playing at UNC for four years including an ACC All-Freshman performance, Frasor played professionally in Bulgaria and Cyprus. In 2010, Frasor was named to the All-National Basketball League of Bulgaria third team.

Frasor was the assistant video coordinator for the 2011-12 UNC men’s basketball team.
