After going 2-1 at the ACC Tournament, the North Carolina baseball team has earned the right to host a Regional in the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.
The other three teams in UNC’s regional will be announced Monday at noon.
The Tar Heels are one of 16 teams pegged to host a regional including four other ACC schools. Virginia, Miami, Florida State and N.C. State will each also be host sites.
This makes the seventh time UNC has hosted a regional and the sixth time in the last seven seasons. Since 2006 UNC is a perfect 15-0 in regional contests held in Chapel Hill.
Action starts Friday June 1 and runs through Sunday June 3. If necessary, game seven will be played Monday June 4. For ticket information check out Tar Heel Blue.
