• The No. 16 North Carolina men’s basketball team was upset by the University of Alabama-Birmingham, led by former UNC assistant coach Jerod Haase, Senior Writer Michael Lananna writes.

• The Duke football team capitalized on Tar Heel errors to defeat its rival 27-25 Saturday and maintain possession of the Victory Bell, Sports Editor Brooke Pryor writes.

• UCLA ended the UNC women’s soccer team’s season in a 1-0 double overtime defeat of the Tar Heels in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals, Kevin Phinney writes.
