C.D. Mock out as UNC wrestling coach

North Carolina Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham announced Friday that C.D. Mock will no longer be the coach of the North Carolina wrestling team.

Coleman Scott, who became an assistant with the team in 2014, will act at the team's interim head coach.

Mock compiled a 108-105-3 record in 12 seasons at the helm, including winning both the 2005 and 2006 ACC titles.

Mock graduated from UNC in 1982, and was the program's first NCAA individual champion.

Over the past year, Mock had come under fire for his stance on sexual assault policies at universities. Mock's son, Corey, was expelled from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in August over an alleged sexual assault against a female student.
