5 celebrities we obsessed over in 2015

2015 was definitely a year for the books in the world of celebrity gossip and glamour. We've compiled a list of celebrities who made their way onto the A-List scene this year and we fell in love with them for it.

1. Amy Schumer

The comedian won our heart and devotion this year with her feminist humor and quick quips to reporters who asked sexist questions. Although Schumer has been on the comedian scene for quite sometime, this was the year that she was a breakout. She has the nation obsessed with everything she does. From starring in "Trainwreck" (which she wrote herself!), to her standup show at the Apollo being aired on HBO, winning an Emmy for her TV show "Inside Amy Schumer," and absolutely slaying on SNL.

2. Justin Bieber

We’ve been all too familiar with the boy singer Justin Bieber since he arrived on the preteen scene in 2010 with his first full album "My World 2.0." However, this year we got obsessed with the MAN Justin Bieber. From "What Do You Mean?" to "Sorry," the dude has been dropping fire songs left and right. He’s a legit singer now. Not only has he improved his songs but also his attitude. It appears that our brattish, annoying teenager has evolved into a calm, cool and sexy Calvin Klein underwear model. Also, did anyone else catch an eye full of that incident in Bora Bora? With all this and THAT, there’s no wonder that he is the talk of the town.

3. Caitlyn Jenner

The reality TV star and gold medal olympian wowed the world after coming out as transgender early this year in a rough (and sassy) interview with Diane Sawyer. Since fully transitioning, Jenner has been viewed as a controversial transgender rights and awareness advocate, claiming to use her show on E!, "I Am Cait," to show the world what it's like to be trans. Controversy seems to follow Jenner with everything she does, even when she was awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPN’s ESPY Awards.

4. Ruby Rose

Fans of the Netflix original series "Orange Is The New Black" lost their minds this year over the show’s newest heart throb: Ruby Rose. In addition to being an actress, the 29-year-old Australian is also a model, DJ and television presenter. Rose is also a strong voice for individuals who identify as gender-fluid.

 5. John Cena

Although the 38-year-old professional wrestler-turned-actor didn’t do any anything specific to get us #obsessed with him this year, we somehow did. Perhaps it was his emotional portrayal of Amy Schumer's boyfriend in "Trainwreck," or maybe it was his insanely built body he put on display in the movie, or maybe it was the fact that the internet, especially Vine, exploded with JOHN CENA memes. We’re not really sure which of the three was the main factor, but we’re happy to see more of him in 2016.
