6 TV shows to binge-watch this summer

Over the past week and a half, I've watched a lot of Netflix. I like to tell myself that this is my reward for making it through the past two semesters and that I've earned the right to be a sloth.

My parents don't agree but it's whatever.

Summer is the perfect time to watch that show you've always told yourself you'd watch or to finally watch that last season of "Parks and Recreation" that you've been putting off because you don't want to admit that it's actually over.

Here are six shows that are perfect for summer binge-watching or rewatching:

1. "Friends"

Netflix has all 10 seasons and the episodes are only 21 minutes long, as in the episodes that don't make you feel bad about yourself when you watch more than three in one sitting.

2. "The Office (U.S.)"

"The Office" is so easy to get caught up with that you'll have Netflix asking if you're still watching when you're nine episodes in.

3. "Grey's Anatomy"

It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will make you so unbelievably mad, but at the end of the day it makes for great binge watching.

4. "Friday Night Lights"

As someone who grew up and went to school in Texas, I can confirm that this is 100 percent accurate.

5. "Bones"

As the title suggests, human remains are involved. "Bones" is a different approach to your classic murder-mystery show.

6. "House of Cards"

Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are both brilliant in this Netflix original. Watch at your own risk of obsession.
