Seniors begin ticket sales for "Seniors Got Talent"

On the court, Marcus Ginyard has no trouble entertaining rabid UNC students.

On Oct. 9, senior class marshals Travis Cianciulli and Wei Xu hope a surprise performance by the Tar Heel basketball star, combined with Korean rap and various dance performances, will sell tickets to "Seniors Got Talent."

Cianciulli and Xu began ticket sales in the Pit today for the senior talent show, which will take place in Memorial Hall on Oct. 9.

The event will feature other performances by the Clef Hangers and various campus step teams.

The competition will start at 8 p.m. and the winner will receive a grand prize which has yet to be unveiled.

Tickets will be sold in the Pit and at Memorial Hall Box Office until the day of the event. Seniors in charge of the event said they are hoping to sell nearly 1400 tickets and fill Memorial Hall.

But over the course of Cianciulli and Xu's hour-long shift, only one ticket was sold.

“The majority of tickets will be bought the last day,” Xu said. “I feel bad for whoever has a shift then.”

The price is only $10 for seniors and $12 for underclassmen.
