Wall-writers inspire other students one vandalism at a time

Some of the world’s most profound words can be found on the inside of the bathroom stalls in Phillips Hall. You can also find a lot of nonsense. This is a tribute to the wall-writers, offering us some of the most relatable content we’ll ever see in print.

Why people feel the need to become philosophers when vandalizing a desk is something that will never be understood or appreciated. But, taking a study break to read the nonsense written on the walls is part of being a true Carolina student.

“DEATH IS NEAR, HOUR 12 OF BIOCHEM AND I HAVE NO MORE HAIR”

            –Table in the Undergraduate Library

“The painters try to silence my pen, but the shithouse poet strikes again”

            --Bathroom in Phillips Hall

From the desks of Davis:

“I love justin!” – Aarya (we are so energized by your passion, Aarya!)

“THERE IS NO REALITY EXCEPT IN ACTION” – Sartre

“give me rampant intellectualism as a coping mechanism”

“PiZZetaAlpha…PIZZA” (pizza is the only thing ever on anyone’s mind)

There's even some dialogue:

“Religion is the opiate of the masses.”

(In response) “It is the heart of a heartless world.”

These cartels in Davis are like pseudo chatrooms.

“You are who you are when nobody is looking”  (dance like no one is watching xo)

“Michael is awesome” (go Michael!)

“Celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing”

“Richard Simmons”

“Someone has a crush on you” (omg be honest this is so energizing)

“NEVER EAT PAINT CHIPS” (OR U WILL TURN INTO A ZOMBIE)

“Papers Written Here" (there were 26 hash marks)

“IM NOT HUMAN” (actual proof that aliens are real people!!)

“Who are you, Oprah!?” (We share your sentiments, anonymous wall writer. It does in fact seem like all of these timeless phrases have been penned by the queen of inspiration.)
