Five conversations to avoid while dining at Lenoir

Dinner should be fun, enjoyable, and it probably shouldn’t result in nausea or discomfort. So here are a few topics to avoid to keep dinner at Lenoir from being too uncomfortable to bear:

What your food is made of

I mean come on, no one wants to talk about what happened before your meal was put in front of you. The point is that there is food in front of you so why even bother talking. Communication isn’t really a necessity when you’re out to dinner. Food comes first.

A -

No no no. Talking about grades is a recipe for disaster. This could potentially ruin the mood, and make you wish that you were at home doing work instead of procrastinating at dinner.

Digestive system

Talking about how the food might affect your digestive system later can only either result in an awkward eternal silence or an awkward eternal silence. Spare yourself that encounter by talking about more fun topics like, honestly, anything would be better.

TMI

Oversharing during dinner about topics that are too much information, can quickly lead to loss of appetite, and strange looks from everyone at the table. That does not sound like a fun way to spend dinner if you ask me. There is a time and a place for everything. As an example of good behavior, I'm not not even going to go there.

Gore galore

Talking about the super gross and gory events that you experienced first hand, or something that happened in a TV show are a no-go. These topics can have negative effects on weaklings, like myself, that are sensitive to discussions relating to blood, violence, etc.

Keep dinner a simple experience.
