Magnetic implants help man create strapless watch with iPod nano, disturb TSA security lines

The iPod nano might have its share of flaws, but tattoo artist and body piercer Dave Hurban overlooks them.

In fact, Hurban loves the music player so much that he put four magnets in his arm to lock it on his wrist.

Last week, Hurban and his friends videotaped a self-done procedure where he placed four small magnets into his wrist. He then attached another set of magnets to the back of his iPod nano so that he could hold it on his arm without a wristband. Yes, Hurban just created the first truly strapless wristwatch.

Body modifications with electronics are set to become the norm. Back in March, Nokia issued a patent for tattoos that vibrate when receiving a call or text message. As far back as a decade ago, the Jacobs became the first family to put microchips in their bodies.

You can see a video of the procedure below, but if you don’t like blood you should probably sit this one out.

If you could attach one device to your body, which would you pick and where would you put it? Would you even do it? Let us know in the comments!
