Roll carts coming for Chapel Hill recycling

Chapel Hill residents could soon see their recycling bins switched out for roll carts with five times more capacity. The Chapel Hill Town Council unanimously passed a resolution on Monday to support the Orange County Board of Commissioners by awarding a five-year contract to the lowest bidder.

Ephesus/Fordham redevelopment draws concern

At their public hearing Wednesday night, the Chapel Hill Town Council was presented with a proposed rezoning of the Ephesus Church Road and Fordham Boulevard Focus Area. According to Town Manager Roger Stancil, the development plan would create new retail and office space in the area bordered by Fordham Boulevard, East Franklin St., Elliott Rd, Ephesus Church Rd., Legion Rd.
