Demonstrators erect a dedication plaque on Tuesday, Feb. 12., 2019 on Franklin St. near McCorkle Place. The memorial is dedicated to the "Negro Wench" Julian Carr stated he beat in his 1913 dedication speech to Silent Sam near the location of the statue.
