Snow storm in Chapel Hill on January 20, 2009. Also, Barack Obama was finally inaugurated as the first African-American president of the U.S.A. Tuesday witnessed two momentous events for the residents of Chapel Hill. Many students enjoyed classes being cancelled due to snowy weather, the likes of which N.C. hasn't seen in recent winters. Most of these students used the timely weather to gather at various points on campus to watch the inauguration of Obama. A snowman shows his support for President Barack Obama's message of change. Obama took the oath of office as snow was accumulating in Chapel Hill and across North Carolina.
