Kari Dahlgren, left, and Alanna Davis, right, sit in the Pit as part of the outreach for the Alternative Commencement Ceremony Task Force. Occupy UNC was also there in solidarity with this alternative commencement team. The Alternative Commencement Ceremony Task Force, as well as the Occupy movement at UNC, do not agree with the fact that New York's Mayor Bloomberg has been chosen at the commencement speaker based on his expulsion of Wall Street occupiers from Zucotti Park. The alternative commencement will take place during the regularly schedules graduation in Kenan Stadium (Sunday May 13 from 9:30-11:30 a.m) at the Forest Theatre. Kathy Kelly, Charles Eisenstein and Richard Muhammad will be speaking.
