Shea Rush looks back at four years on the UNC men's basketball team

To Shea Rush, basketball is central to nearly all of his experiences. He certainly became a better player over the last four years, but he says the program means much more to him.  “That stuff is all fun, but the thing that I will miss most, without a doubt, are my teammates,” Rush said. “It was the greatest bond and friendship I’ve ever had on a team.”

Dontrez Styles, the No. 1 junior in North Carolina, commits to play for UNC basketball

The No. 1 junior in North Carolina, Dontrez Styles, has committed to play for UNC, he announced via Instagram Live on Saturday. Styles, a Kinston, North Carolina native, is labeled as a four-star power forward, according to 247Sports, and is the No. 57 recruit in the 2021 class. He picked the Tar Heels over the likes of N.C. State, Georgetown and Maryland, who also offered him.

Amid COVID-19, UNC basketball's Roy Williams admires dedication of healthcare workers

The North Carolina men’s basketball team held one of its weekly Zoom meetings on Sunday, putting an emphasis on the group's aspects outside of the game of basketball. “As I was growing up and even up until the last several months," said UNC men's basketball coach Roy Williams, "my biggest heroes were my teachers that I’ve had all the way through high school and college and the mentors that I’ve had. Now my heroes are all the healthcare people and the providers.”

Column: Power ranking UNC's six men's basketball national championship teams

It’s tough to compare athletes and teams from different eras. For example, it's difficult to compare LeBron James’ success to Michael Jordan's and even Kareem Adbul-Jabbar's because they played against different types of competition. The same could go to say for UNC’s basketball national championships. Their six titles that are recognized by the NCAA span across 60 years of basketball history.
