UNC men's lacrosse defeats No. 5 Duke for first time since 2016 season, 10-8

Hosting No. 5 Duke at the UNC Lacrosse Stadium for the first time, the North Carolina men's lacrosse team opened up ACC play with a 10-8 win in a back-and-forth affair thanks to a balanced scoring attack and stellar performance by first-year goalie Caton Johnson in his first career start.

North Carolina men's lacrosse dominates Mercer, 20-9, in season opener

ROSWELL, GA — The No. 15 North Carolina men’s lacrosse team took on the Mercer Bears in its season opener Saturday.  The game was played at Centennial High School in Atlanta, Ga., on the same field where UNC first-year attackman Nicky Solomon played the entirety of his high school career.  Solomon scored his first two goals as a Tar Heel in his return home as UNC wiped out Mercer, 20-9.
