Much ado about Shakespeare
By Desiree Shoe | April 25After four centuries and with a legacy that still endures, what more could a writer want for his birthday? English professors and students offered spirited recitations and five performances Monday to honor William Shakespeare's 442nd, which was Sunday. About 30 people attended the first UNC birthday bash for the literary giant, held in the Toy Lounge in Dey Hall. "It's a nice opportunity to get to spend a little bit of time with the English faculty and get involved with a little bit of geekiness," said Traci White, a junior photojournalism major.
