Carson, Neptune go on
By Elisabeth Gilbert and Greg Margolis | February 14After round one of the student body president election, Eve Carson and Nick Neptune were left standing and will battle head-to-head in a runoff election Tuesday. Carson received 40 percent of votes cast, while Neptune got 33 percent. The 7,441 total votes cast represented the highest voter turnout in student election history. The results are considered complete once candidates submit their financial statements today. A runoff election is held when no candidate garners more than 50 percent of votes.
