UNC students volunteer to work election polls to help combat a poll worker shortage. Typically, a majority of poll workers are part of the older population, but since they are not signing up this year due to health concerns, younger volunteers had to step up.
The UNC Commission on History, Race, and A Way Forward met virtually on Thursday. On the table for discussion was the removal of names from several campus spots — Ruffin Residence Hall, Bingham Hall and Barbee Cemetery.
