IFC site option draws local ire
By Goeun Lee | February 17The Inter-Faith Council for Social Service seems to face opposition from residents everywhere it goes in its search for a new site. When the IFC announced a newly proposed site off Eubanks Road on Feb. 2, Rick Kennedy was among its most vocal opponents. Kennedy, who lives on Blackwood Mountain Road near the site, claims that the new proposal is hypocritical, saying the town of Chapel Hill has an "out of sight, out of mind" policy toward the area he calls home.
