Police log for Feb. 28, 2017

• Someone failed to obey the pedestrian signal on the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The pedestrian crossed the roadway outside of the crosswalk and against the signal, causing traffic to stop, reports state.

• Someone reported an undisciplined juvenile on the 600 block of North Estes Drive at 3:59 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The defiant child was less than 16 years old and refused to obey a parent, reports state.

• Someone reported non-criminal damage to property on the 1900 block of Fordham Boulevard at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person damaged a Nissan vehicle, reports state.

• Someone reported suspicious persons on the 200 block of West Rosemary and Church Streets at 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The males were looking inside car windows, reports state.

• Someone trespassed at Benny Cappella's at 122 E. Franklin St. at 3:26 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person did not leave when asked by the manager to do so, reports state.

• Someone committed alcohol violations on the 100 block of West Franklin Street at 9:26 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person consumed an alcoholic beverage in a public place, reports state.

• Someone reported an accidental alarm on the 100 block of Chesley Lane at 1:47 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The officers cleared the house after finding an insecure basement door, reports state.

• Someone reported a loose dog on the 100 block of Timber Hollow Court at 6:33 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
