Chapel Hill Police Reports: April 11 - April 15

  • Officers arrested someone for making harassing phone calls on the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

The report states the arrestee was also charged with communicating threats.

  • A hit and run was reported on the 200 block of Elizabeth Street at 10:18 p.m. on Friday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

The report states the suspect hit another car and left the scene, causing about $500 worth of damages.

  • Officers made an arrest for possession of fortified wine on the 300 block of West Franklin Street at 1:18 p.m. on Sunday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

The report states the arrestee had a bottle of fortified wine on premises unauthorized by ABC law.

  • Officers made an arrest for assault inflicting serious injury on the 100 block of Fraternity Court at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

The report states the individual was unarmed and will be served with a criminal summons for assault.
