Football coaches' wives lean on each other for support

With their husbands gone year-round with their jobs coaching North Carolina's Coastal Division champion football team, the wives of the UNC football coaching staff often feel like single mothers. Luckily, they have each other.

Exiting seniors take part in ACC Barnstorming Tour

Many thought the national championship loss to Villanova would be the last time seniors Marcus Paige, Brice Johnson and Joel James would step onto a basketball court together. But the three donned jerseys again to take part in the ACC Barnstorming Tour in Durham on Thursday night.

5 things to watch in UNC's spring game

With North Carolina's spring game set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, here are five things to look out for when the Tar Heels hit the field.

Tar Heels in the NBA playoffs

Thirteen former North Carolina men's basketball players are set to suit up for the NBA playoffs — which begin on Saturday — the most of any school. Here's a look at who those players are and how they fared during the regular season. 

Looking Ahead

  • The track and field team will continue to take part in the Mount Sac relays in Norwalk, Calif., all day on Friday and Saturday. 
  • The women's golf team will compete in the ACC Championships this weekend in Greensboro. 
  • The women's tennis team will play at Clemson at 2:30 p.m. on Friday and at Georgia Tech at noon on Sunday. 
  • The men's tennis team will play Georgia Tech at home on Friday at 3 p.m., then travel to Durham to take on Duke at 1 p.m. on Sunday.  
  • The baseball team will play a three-game series at Virginia this weekend. Game 1 is at 6 p.m. on Friday, Game 2 is at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Game 3 is at noon on Sunday. 
  • The volleyball team will take on N.C. State, Virginia Tech and Duke at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., respectively, on Saturday. 
  • The women's lacrosse team will play at Syracuse at noon on Saturday. 
  • The men's lacrosse team will play at Syracuse at 4 p.m. on Saturday. 
  • The softball team will plays a three-game series at Virginia this weekend, starting with a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on Saturday and concluding with Game 3 at noon on Sunday.
  • The football team will hold its spring game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Kenan Stadium.
