Armando Bacot returning for fifth season with UNC basketball

The Richmond native considered testing the NBA Draft waters last season but ultimately came back to a group that entered the year as the top team in the nation. Following a disappointing campaign that saw the Tar Heels miss the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010, Bacot's return should provide some stability for a program that currently has four players in the transfer portal.

Bus tracking returns to Chapel Hill after delay, community now able to rely on GPS routing

After a "frustrating" year, Chapel Hill Transit users in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area can once again track buses. The GPS routing information for transit users returned on March 13 while UNC students were on Spring Break, according to the Town of Chapel Hill. Tracking on apps like TransLoc, which gets real-time information from NextBus, will now work for customers.

On Saturday morning, City & State Editor Emmy Martin was selected to be the DTH’s next editor-in-chief. Her platform includes restructuring newsroom leadership, focusing on multimedia and digital storytelling, holding the paper accountable to its readers, continuing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and addressing editor burnout.
