Mack Brown named as UNC head football coach, the University announces Tuesday

Mack Brown is coming home.  Shortly after a announcement to replace former UNC head coach Larry Fedora was officially released, a familiar face returned to the UNC coaching position. Brown, 67, will coach the UNC football team beginning next season after working for ESPN as a football analyst.  The last time Brown walked Kenan Stadium was in 1997 as he lead the team to top-10 national rankings during his term. Most recently, the new coach has begun assembling his coaching staff.  Since he was last at Carolina, check out Brown's coaching stats.
