Anh Nguyen is the 2023-24 data editor at The Daily Tar Heel. She has previously served as the DTH's data editor and assistant data editor. Anh is a senior pursuing a double major in statistics and information science.

An anonymous survey of the greater Chapel Hill community revealed varying viewpoints regarding The Daily Tar Heel’s representation of race, sexual orientation and gender identity. The general public opinion of the paper was largely positive. However, separating respondents by race, gender and sexuality revealed disparities between subgroups for questions about representation.
The Daily Tar Heel's data desk seeks to survey the greater Chapel Hill community to see to what extent these concerns hold true and gain valuable feedback on the shortcomings of our organization regarding diversity and inclusivity. Most importantly, we want to know what our community thinks about us. Responses will be collected from March 6 to March 24. Afterwards, we will analyze our results and potentially create an article about our findings.
