The North Carolina baseball team (23-17, 8-13 ACC) squared off against the Virginia Cavaliers (30-10, 12-8 ACC) for the third and final game of their weekend series. The Tar Heels fell to the Cavaliers by a final score of 10-3.
The North Carolina Tar Heel’s women’s rowing team competed in the Lake Wheeler Invitational on Saturday afternoon, finishing in 12th place out of the 17 teams that participated.

“We were able to stay within ourselves and not feel defeated after they were able to come back,” junior outfielder Bri Stubbs said. “In some moments, teams are able to fall underneath with that type of comeback, but we were able to stay calm and collected.”
The North Carolina Tar Heels women’s golf team headed into the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tournament this week, finishing 14th out of 17 teams.
Coming off an 8-1 loss against a No. 13 Georgia team, North Carolina is facing another ranked opponent on Tuesday in No. 19 Michigan — a team that has won four of its last five games.
With a dominant sweep of the Pirates, the Tar Heels opened their season with an abundance of confidence.
