Hip-hop Nation emphasizes not only music but culture
By president of Hip-Hop Nation | October 13Hip-hop can't stop and won't stop. No student organization epitomizes this ethos like Hip-Hop Nation - now entering its 10th year. The group held its first event of the year in the Pit Wednesday and leaders said they want to focus more on spreading awareness and become more service oriented. The organization was originally founded by UNC alumnus Kevin Thomas, also known as Kaze, in 1995 and was officially recognized by the University in 1996 during his sophomore year.
