Interim UNC-system President Bill Roper has announced his eight-person transition team three days after taking the reins, according to a press release sent out by UNC-system Media Relations.
Developments in the ongoing Silent Sam controversy may have dominated the news cycle during the final year of Chancellor Carol Folt's reign, but the academic fraud scandal was among the first to mar Folt's chancellorship.
Although the recent government shutdown is predicted to have minimal impact on UNC, problems could still arise.
If the University moves to Condition 1, semester exams will continued as scheduled, the AlertCarolina said. If the University moves to Condition 2, Monday's exams will be rescheduled for Wednesday and the revised exam schedule will be posted on the Registrar's website. An AlertCarolina will be sent if conditions change.
