12:05 p.m. MONDAY" MARCH 16 -- Police have charged a Chapel Hill man with murder in connection with the shooting of a Chatham County man.Juan Barbee Young of Jones Ferry Road died of gunshot wounds Saturday night after an argument with two other men according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.Police arrested Eric Jermaine Bradshaw30 on Sunday after interviewing people about the incident on 3004 Butler Road in Hillsborough. Young was arguing with Bradshaw and a third man Keitha Burnett before a fight develop. Investigators say that Bradshaw then shot Young.Officers responding at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday found Young in the driveway and found that he was severely injured. Young died at about 10 p.m. Saturday.After interviewing people on the scene an investigator arrested Bradshaw of 8015 Sandberg Lane in Chapel HIll Sunday night.Bradshaw was expected in court today.

- A woman in the passenger seat of a car stopped for driving while intoxicated had a handgun according to Chapel Hill police reports.Denise Ann Brunson44 was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and was under the influence of an impairing substance reports state.Brunson of Jacksonville NC was released on a written promise to appear and is expected in court on March 16 reports state.- A statue near Cameron Avenue and South Roberson Street fell over Saturday according to Chapel Hill police reports.Police did not know the reasons for the falling of the statue which belonged to Chapel Hill Public Arts reports state.- Someone sprayed black spray paint down both sides of a vehicle on Howell Street according to Chapel Hill police reports.There was $4000 in damage to the 2004 Nissan Xterra which was also black reports state.- Police charged two people Thursday for possession of cocaine with intent to sell or distribute according to Carrboro police reports.Derrick Dwayne Thomas29 and Shkeithra Renee Degraffenreidt25 were arrested on the Estes Drive Extension reports state.- A man attempted to drive his vehicle away while it was hooked up to a tow truck according to Carrboro police reports.The vehicle was being towed from Abbey Court Apartments reports state when the owner came out at about 4 a.m. Thursday.The 1997 Mercury was damaged on the driver's side and the truck had some paint missing but both owners said they did not wish to file a report according to reports. - A Poplar Avenue resident told police that she heard loud footsteps in the kitchen and bathroom of her house early Thursday according to Carrboro police reports.The responding officers did not find anything suspicious reports state.- An employee of the Burger King on Jones Ferry Road called police early Thursday because she was unable to close and lock the door according to Carrboro police reports.Reports state that the door had a broken hinge.
- Several people attempted to steal beer Monday from a Harris Teeter on North Greensboro Street according to Carrboro police reports.- Someone walked out of a Food Lion on Jones Ferry Road with flowers that she did not pay for according to Carrboro police reports.Reports state that when the complainant went outside and confronted the woman Saturday she paid for the flowers.- A Carrboro resident told police that she received several e-mails from a subject claiming to be a woman from Zaire according to Carrboro police reports.The e-mails said that the woman had $3 million in England reports state and she would pay the Carrboro resident to help get the money into the United States. The e-mails asked for money to start the process reports state.Although the Carrboro resident did not send any money she told police that she wanted law enforcement to be aware reports state.The Carrboro resident told police that she would save the e-mails in case any follow-up was needed reports state.- Police received reports from a man early Tuesday who said his Cadillac Escalade had been stolen according to Carrboro police reports.When the officer arrived they talked to the complainant and another man reports state. The other man told police that he took the keys to the vehicle and moved it because the complainant was impaired.- Someone called police early Tuesday to report a dog outside a residence without shelter according to Carrboro police reports.The dog's owner told police that the dog was outside temporarily reports state and it had shelter food and water outside.

8:30 p.m. FRIDAY NOV. 22 -- Marchers who are part of the Mardi Gras Indians were arrested on Franklin Street tonight according to staff reports. The masked group started walking up Franklin Street towards Carrboro blocking traffic. It is unclear about the exact events leading up to the arrests but eyewitnesses report that Chapel Hill police and marchers were involved in a scuffle prior tothe arrests. The Daily Tar Heel will continue to update this story as it develops.
2:24 p.m." WEDNSEDAY" NOV. 19 -- FoxSports.com is reporting freshman Tyler Zeller will miss the remainder of the season with fractures in his left wrist suffered in Tuesday's game against Kentucky. Writer Jeff Goodman cites ""a source close to the situation"" and writes that Zeller suffered multiple fractures when he landed on his wrist late in the game. 6:49 p.m. TUESDAY HILLSBOROUGH -- Michael Troy Lewis who was accused of kidnapping two UNC football players in December was found guilty Tuesday. He was charged with two counts of first degree kidnappingconspiracy to commit larceny and kidnapping attempted larceny and common law robbery misdemeanor assaulting law enforcement officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
