'Doubt into fuel': UNC's Aaron Sabato used those who questioned him as motivation

When he was in high school, North Carolina first baseman Aaron Sabato didn't make his Area Code team, an East Coast Pro team and was only invited to a couple of Perfect Game showcases. As he prepares for his sophomore season with the Tar Heels, Sabato is using all of the concerns raised about his game as motivation for him to build on a collegiate career that already features a Co-National Freshman of the Year award and first-team Freshman All-America honors.

'Like your family': One bad inning creates emotional end to UNC baseball season

The last day of a baseball post-season is always filled with emotion, and for the Tar Heels, the type of emotion wasn't in their favor following a loss to Auburn in the Super Regionals. North Carolina saw their season cut short after the team failed to overcome a devastating 13 run first inning by Auburn.  Head coach Mike Fox spoke after the game about the hardest part is seeing a team that he saw as a family break up at the end of the year
