UNC women's lacrosse cruises past Liberty at home, 18-6

Attacker Caitlyn Wurzburger scored twice in less than 30 seconds, the second goal hitting the back of the net just as the game clock hit zero at the end of the first quarter, allowing the Tar Heels to take the lead for the first time the entire game. She would go on to score two more goals in the second half.

Mastroianni and Trenchard step up for Team USA in 2022 World Lacrosse Women's Championship pool play

For UNC women's lacrosse head coach Jenny Levy, and 2022 national champions Emma Trenchard and Ally Mastroianni, the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship is a chance to add to an already triumphant year. Representing Team USA alongside four other former Tar Heels, this squad is fighting through the championship bracket in hopes to capture the ninth World Cup for the U.S. Women's National Team.

'Best decision of my life': UNC women's lacrosse veterans run it back one last time for NCAA title

Perhaps no group of Tar Heels feel greater satisfaction than UNC's veterans. After enduring postseason heartbreak year after year, the seasoned squad finally earned its redemption. After the Tar Heels were eliminated by Boston College in the Final Four a year ago, head coach Jenny Levy met individually with each of her then-seniors to discuss their future with the program. “It was probably the best decision of my life,” Mastroianni said of her return. “The people and the place, it was just too good to leave.”
