Justin Hadad will pursue a Master of Philosophy in economics at the University of Oxford, where he hopes to continue studying market design. He is the second of three UNC students and alumni to join the Rhodes scholars class of 2022.
During the lecture, the professor emeritus of history at UNC and a scholar of African American and U.S. constitutional history spoke about the lessons she has learned in studying history and critical race theory. "What kind of history will you make with your life?" McNeil asked the audience. "And what kind of society do you want to live? What kind of society do you want to leave for coming generations?"
The Chancellor’s Committee to Review History Commission Resolution unanimously agreed to recommend the renaming of Avery Residence Hall and Bingham Hall. The committee also made recommendations for Battle Hall at their meetings last week.

Chancellor Emeritus James Moeser will retire from UNC at the end of June. He has served as the interim executive and artistic director at Carolina Performing Arts since 2019. An anonymous donor recently gave CPA a $3 million gift in honor of Moeser and his wife, Susan.
