As a fervent luddite, I have not downloaded "Pokemon Go," and I never intend to. I have, however, been ran into by kids and millennials alike playing this addictive game. Even though I'm not willing to walk around during these mosquito-infested July evenings to catch emojis, I've been thoroughly entertained by trainers trolling the Westboro Baptist Church, and the fact that police stations across the country have been tweeting out safety tips for people just trying to "catch 'em all."

Only July 10th, Marta Karolyi, team coordinator for US Women’s Gymnastics emerged with the athletes who form the Olympic Women’s Gymnastics team in San Jose after only 12 minutes of deliberation with the Olympic selection committee. The women’s trials follows two weeks after the men’s trials and two weeks after the women's national competition.

It feels like Christmas over here in Chapel Thrill. We are soon (well, relatively soon) to have our very own Target at Carolina Square on Franklin Street. This means we don't have to drown in back sweat in the summer or freeze our eyeballs off in the winter when we just need to run and get a loaf of bread. Is this the end of the first-year shuttle to Super Target? Only time will tell.
