With the help of UNC students and the Freshman Focus Council, a total of 289 takeout meals from Lenoir Dining Hall were sent to the Inter-Faith Council Community Kitchen in Chapel Hill on Tuesday. For all the freshmen who have been frantically trying to use up their meal plans before the semester ends, a plan was devised to allow them to use their meals and give back to the community. Students who might be wondering what happened to this year's paper version of the UNC directory need not worry much longer. Annette Harmon, campus directory coordinator, said that the published 2002-03 edition of the directory will be out after Thanksgiving break. Referendum For Increased Fees Possible

A Student Congress committee passed a bill Tuesday calling for a referendum asking students to raise the student activity fee to be placed on the February ballot. Rules and Judiciary Committee members discussed the need for an increased fee because of inflation, which has decreased the purchasing power of the fee, and the growth of campus activities.
