Step Up 2 the Streets
3.5 stars
Despite the misleading title, "Step Up 2 the Streets" doesn't contain any stepping, but it showcases ridiculously showy and acrobatic breakdancing routines.
The visceral beat of feet stomping and hands clapping is traded for the less-visceral beats of top-40 hip-hop songs, but that doesn't make the dancing any less effective.
The real show here is the dancing, and, luckily, the incredible feats of dance are only sporadically interrupted by short spurts of dialogue.

Album From the Vaults
Lindsay Lohan - A Little More Personal (Raw): In between all of her late-night antics, the teen queen found time to record a horrendous pop album.
Movie Rental Pick:
"Mean Girls": The pinnacle of Lindsay Lohan's esteemed and august film career. Seriously though, this movie is pretty funny, but more credit goes to Tina Fey's writing than Lohan's acting.
Something Random:
Date Wilmer Valderrama: Sometimes it seems like almost everybody has had their go at Fez - even "Yo Momma."

Ahleuchatistas
The Same and the Other
math-rock/jazz
3.5 stars
As the respective sources of its name suggests, Asheville's math-rock trio Ahleuchatistas is part experimentally structured musicians (Charlie Parker's "Ah-Leu-Cha") and part revolutionaries (Viva Zapata!).
With the remastered, bonus track-boosted reissue of their second album, 2004's The Same and the Other, chaos is evident throughout, even during fluid eye-of-the-storm moments.

In the North Carolina wrestling team's last ACC match against N.C. State on Feb. 8, several questionable calls drew screams from Tar Heel head coach C.D. Mock and assistant coach A.J. Grant.
Friday, Grant got the opportunity to see a match from the official's perspective.
When the team arrived in Athens, Ohio, for its match against the Bobcats, the referees were nowhere to be found. This forced Grant and an Ohio University assistant coach to step into the most loathed position in all of sports.
And Mock, who called the situation "very unprofessional," said there was no way that the match would be canceled.
"We flew up there and paid a lot of money," Mock said Monday.
"We were going to wrestle."
So wrestle the Tar Heels and Bobcats did, if not for any more than pride. And while the matches did take place, the 22-20 Ohio win will not count on North Carolina's record.
In the 125 pound weight class, where the Tar Heels have forfeited their last four matches because of multiple injuries and disciplinary reasons, Mock was almost ready to start recruiting to fill the spot.
"I was about to throw my son in," Mock joked.
The next day, the Tar Heels got a chance to wrestle a match that actually meant something.
UNC lost to No. 22 Pittsburgh 20-19, but Mock was not disappointed with his wrestlers.
"I think the guys wrestled really well," he said. "I was very pleased."
Mock said he was especially content considering the situation at wrestling's lightest position.
"Not having Drew Forshey there is at least a 9-point swing," Mock said.
"If he pins the guy, it's a 12-point swing - 12 points is a lot."
To put it in perspective, a Forshey decision would have given North Carolina a 22-14 win - a pin, a 25-14 victory.
Despite the team loss, UNC's top two wrestlers earned wins, as national No. 11 165-pounder Keegan Mueller earned his third pin of the season and heavyweight Justin Dobies defeated No. 13 Zach Sheaffer.
"(Dobies) is proving that he can beat not only guys who he should be beating, but also guys who are nationally ranked," Mock said.
