Wrongful discrimination: New rule for denying admission to community ?colleges a cause for serious concern

|

Sometimes even the best intentions can have serious drawbacks. The N.C. Board of Community Colleges’ amendment to its “Admission to Colleges” policy may be intended to keep students safe, but the amendment is too vague and, even more importantly, could pose legal challenges for the system. It’s campaign season again, which means that you can’t walk through the Pit without being molested by an army of enthusiastic candidates and volunteers who will do just about anything for your John Hancock. For as long as anyone can remember, candidates have collected their required signatures in person.

Food with a side of justice

I’ll be honest, Vimala Rajendran looked a bit tired. Not in a hungover, unshowered, Post-P-Bob’s-night kind of way with which we are all acquainted.

Kvetching Board for January 21, 2011

|

Dear manager sitting behind the bench: Please don’t look utterly disgusted to be sitting behind Roy and the boys; there are about 10,000 girls in line to replace you. First, Pluto’s not a planet, now there is a new zodiac sign. Maybe the world really is coming to an end.
