TO THE EDITOR: The Facebook event created encouraging students to vote “No” to staying in the UNC-system Association of Student Governments states, “There are better ways to advocate for students, so let’s create one together.”
TO THE EDITOR: As the primary sponsor of the resolution creating the referendum on the UNC-system Association of Student Governments, I encourage everyone to vote “No” for the referendum, which will be on the ballot in Tuesday’s election.
TO THE EDITOR: According to Jonathon King, the director of the UNC Management Company, the investment company in charge of UNC’s $2.2 billion endowment, it is not worth including our endowment in UNC’s commitment to end the production and use of coal.

TO THE EDITOR: Public policy polls, and even some news articles, about Amendment One demonstrate a lack of comprehension about the amendment.
TO THE EDITOR: I’ll admit, I’m not the most excitable person when it comes to the student body president race.
TO THE EDITOR: In yesterday’s article “Lack Of Rape Alerts Draws Complaints” I was concerned by some comments made by Department of Public Safety chief Jeff McCracken about the campus community’s “need to know (about) possible threats.”
TO THE EDITOR: Library resources. Shows at Carolina Performing Arts. Scholarships. Valued Professorships. Campus buildings. These are all vital resources that we benefit from as students at UNC. These are also resources that we might not have if it wasn’t for private giving to the University.
TO THE EDITOR: First, Devon Ramsay’s football career isn’t “essentially over” as Monday’s editorial suggests. Maybe you haven’t been following but Ramsay was granted an additional year of eligibility and will be playing the full upcoming football season. Also I believe it’s a bit unfair to tag this year’s recruiting class as “disappointing.”
TO THE EDITOR: I want to preface by saying I applaud the passion of student activists regarding tuition this year. Having said that, some students’ conduct during the Board of Governors vote was regrettable. There are two types of protest at play here. One repudiates a policy — tuition. The other repudiates the process itself.
TO THE EDITOR: Tyler Zeller has the heart of a lion. Despite being constantly assailed by various Plumlees (see photo in Feb. 9 DTH) and pushing his 7-foot frame first down the court through the grueling pace of Wednesday’s game, Zeller never relented, but went unflinchingly into the scrum every play. Our heart bleeds Carolina blue with him over the final score.
TO THE EDITOR: UNC doesn’t want students meddling with its hefty $2.2 billion endowment. Students have rallied in the past for UNC to be a responsible investor and move its money out of companies at odds with our University’s mission. Administrators resort to saying that the endowment’s only job is to maximize returns, yet taking environmental, social and governance factors into account actually improves overall returns by eliminating risky investments.
TO THE EDITOR: After bearing witness to the-game-that-shall-not-be-named Wednesday night, the last thing I wanted to hear was more bad news. However, bad news was what I needed — and had a right — to hear, but not what I received until well after events transpired, and never from the source from which I expected to hear it.
TO THE EDITOR: A recent WRAL article reported that a rape near UNC campus “served as a reminder to young women of the need to be vigilant.”
